Let us see the meaning of the name Narayana perumal is Naran-aayina Perumal ( became human)

When it says standing, it does not refer to the sitting God standing up.

Standing refers to standing while walking. If we see this word in English it is mentioned as Stood still. It is standing motionless in search of something while the GOD is walking. He came to this earth as a human being to search for the missing soul or sinful soul.

GOD touches and counts the things that came with him one by one, when one of the things that came is missing (in odungai), he stops motionless to find what is missing. The GOD will move out of the place only after finding the missing ones.

Man has forgotten the reason he was created and has gone far away from God who created him. he is with sinful pleasures, worldly pleasures, sickness, and the clutches of the devil. It explains that God came to this earth in human form to rescue or save such people.

Many meanings have been given as to why  the deity stood, and we have to examine and see which is correct. One meaning is given below. It should be examined whether it is correct.

Narasimhan

Narasimha is a deity, who came to this earth as a human being and was lion-like in nature, hence his name  Narasimhan. (  lion in human form.) Holy Bible says Jesus Christ is the Lion of Judah.

Perumal (She in Him)

The word Perumal is  the  feminine form of the word Peruman, (great + man).  and thus Peruman becane perumal. Peruman means the elder most respected.

If you want to know this well, you have to look at the word Amman. Amman comes from the addition of the word avan to the word Amma

Because the deity has the quality of a father and the quality of a mother, the words used to address such a deity are perumal and amman (she in him ).

Standing Naranaina Perumal is a deity who comes to this earth in human form, and stands motionless for the lost human being and saves him (saves his soul) and takes him to heaven (combined with the qualities of father and mother).

 

Why should the God search for the missing?

 

Because the soul of all human beings born on this earth has to go to God, so God is  standing  still and looking for the missing souls to return to Him.

A few instances where the deity stood still

 

1) Stood for a corrupt man.

For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish. Matthew 18:11-14

 

2) He stood for those who wanted to repent

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 15:7

 

3} He stood for a blind man who wanted comfort.

And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging: And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant. And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by. And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him, Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee. 4) for the sake of Zacchaeus a dwarf who wanted to see Jesus by climbing a fig tree the God stood. so the God called as Athi varathar.

And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.  And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully. And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner. And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold. 5) God stopped to see a woman who had been healed of a blood disease

And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.  Luke 8:43-48

 

6) God stood to cast out the devil from the demon-possessed man and send it into the pigs.

And when he went forth to land, there met him out of the city a certain man, which had devils long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in any house, but in the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he cried out, and fell down before him, and with a loud voice said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God most high? I beseech thee, torment me not. For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness. And Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? And he said, Legion: because many devils were entered into him. And they besought him that he would not command them to go out into the deep. And there was there an herd of many swine feeding on the mountain: and they besought him that he would suffer them to enter into them. And he suffered them. Then went the devils out of the man, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake, and were choked. Luke 8:27-33
